Ellen Luby (Chair) Ellen is currently the Talent Acquisition Manager for A. O. Smith Corporation in Milwaukee. She also serves on the Human Resources & Compensation Committee for the Next Door Foundation of Milwaukee and the Talent & Education Committee for the Milwaukee Water Council.
Craig Watson (Vice Chair) After a long career with A.O. Smith Corporation, Craig retired as Vice President of Corporate Development in early 2014. Having recently joined the board of Serenity Inns, Craig hopes to contribute to the mission’s various objectives in strategy development and financial planning.
Rev. Rick Deines (Past Chair) Rick is a founding member of the Serenity Inn Mission Group. He serves regularly at Dinner Fellowship and works with the staff.
Lorraine Buehler (Recording Secretary) Lorraine has been active in recruiting dinner fellowship volunteers, helps SI graduates gather furnishings and move into their apartments, and brings many years of experience teaching English to the website as editor as well as to the role of Recording Secretary.
Carla Stensberg (Treasurer) A bookkeeper for over 30 years, Carla is employed part-time and serves on several church and community boards. She takes care of the month to month financial statements for Serenity Inns.
Rev. Joe Ellwanger A Lutheran pastor and organizer for WISDOM, Joe meets with funders, connects us across the city with other AODA efforts, and walks with both staff and the men. He regularly serves at Dinner Fellowship.
Bill Krugler Bill is a retired Managing Director of Mason Wells. He is regular volunteer with the dinner fellowship at Serenity and works with the SI Board on long-term and strategic planning. He is also interested in helping to expand the job opportunities for SI residents.
Bill Martens A retired physician, Bill makes sure donors know Serenity Inns’ needs and spreads the word through his many community contacts.
David Romoser David is the retired Senior V.P. General Counsel and Secretary of A. O. Smith Corporation. He maintains an alternate dispute resolution practice serving as a mediator and arbitrator. He also serves on a number of not-for-profit boards and as an advisor and consultant to several others.
Ralph McClure Ralph has a long history of involvement with Social Services in Wisconsin as a Child Psychologist. He is working on collaboration opportunities for Serenity Inns with other AODA providers. He represents SI at the Milwaukee Addiction Treatment Initiative (MATI).
Aaron Pressie Aaron Pressie is an alcohol and drug abuse counselor with Sebastian Psychological Practice in Glendale, and he also runs AODA groups for adults in corrections and for The Bridge Health Clinics. His clinical interest lies in working with children and families affected by mental health and substance abuse issues as well as parent education issues. In addition to his clinical skills as a psychotherapist and drug counselor, Mr. Pressie has provided numerous trainings in the area and supervised a number of treatment programs in Connecticut and Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Al Walters Owner and operator of Walters Home Inspection, Al has been performing home inspections for over 11 years and is the only home inspector member of Take Root Milwaukee, a consortium developed by the Mayor to help families in the community to purchase a home and to keep their home. He presents at home buying workshops and is a graduate of the Business Development Training Program at Prism Technical Institute.
Clarence McGowan A graduate of Serenity Inns in March 2013, Clarence was hired by Brian Davis at Andrew Chevrolet while still a resident at Serenity Inns. Four years later, Clarence remains with Andrew Chevrolet as a Service Advisor.
Tom Dunst Tom is an attorney and CPA who worked as a tax consultant for 36 years, finishing his career in 2015 as a shareholder of Schenck SC, a large (650+ employees, 9 offices) Wisconsin based accounting firm. He was head of the Milwaukee office tax department for three years before his retirement. At Schenck he specialized in planning for real estate transactions, pass-through entities, retirement plans and tax-exempt organizations.
Bary Morgan Bary has been involved with Serenity Inns’ Dinner Fellowship for almost 10 years. He volunteers regularly at Serenity Inns and the Alumni House. He has a passion for engaging deeper stories and for financial literacy.
Brian Flynn Brian works for Merit Medical as their National Account Manager in the Strategic Accounts/Market Access division. He has been actively involved with Serenity Inns and their mission for the last four years. In his congregation, he serves as their church advocate for this partnership.
